Girls Fashion Trends: Bold And Beautiful - Alexandre Vauthier

Girls Fashion Trends: Bold And Beautiful - Alexandre Vauthier

Girls Fashion Trends

Girls Fashion Trends are enamored with designer Alexandre Vauthier's Summer 09 Couture collection. Sharp shoulders, cinched waists & beautiful ruffles — so dramatic. This is beautiful 80's heyday, with bits of references to when Gaultier & Thierry Mugler ruled the 80's runaway. It is to be expected, since Mr. Vauthier worked for both designers. And while Girls Fashion Trends ready for the 80's to retire, Girls Fashion Trends did so rock more than a few of these! Be sure to visit and explore more from this collection.

Girls Fashion Trends: Relax Flow - Ailanto

Girls Fashion Trends

Girls Fashion Trends did a bit of perusing at one of our favourite brands, Barcelona-based Ailanto. The colour combos plus shapes in their S/S 09 caused our heart to flutter a little. Below is just a snippet of what we liked, but there is plenty to discover, so visit and explore.

Girls Fahion Trends: Sculptural Pleats - Spanish Designer Amaya Arzuaga

Girls Fahion Trends: Sculptural Pleats - Spanish Designer Amaya Arzuaga

Girls Fashion Trends

A wide collection of well known Spanish designer Amaya Arzuaga. Below are few great A/W 09-10 collection and it is filled to the brim with sculptural pleats. Some of the pieces are totally wearable, while others we are not so sure about. We can not wait to see what actually makes it from the runway to the boutiques. The paillette leggings {which were paired with each look} were also eye-catching!

Girls Fashion Trends

Girls Fashion Trends have not been onto a blog lead this fast since never. Ziyan of Pork Chop Yum literally pointed us in the way of ChiChi's Colour Zone, about ooh-umm 6 minutes ago & Girls Fashion Trends just could not wait to post it. Girls Fashion Trends feeling over finding a new Etsy seller is the knowledge that there is a growing momentum that clothes with a definite direction at not so ouchy prices are coming our way & Etsy is the breeding ground.

ChiChi's Colour Zone's name is a little unfortunate, because strictly speaking it is an adjective that means overly trendy/pretentious. Girls Fashion Trends have only ever heard this fake sounding word used in American programmes & ca not vouch for its validity. Still, ChiChi is exactly NOT what this Etsy seller does. Something in the lengths, the fabrics, the finishings actually ALMOST pushes certain pieces into mumsy territory. But then something pulls it all back & with the help of some good lookbook images, ChiChi's Colourzone pieces come off as serene, beautifully crafted & strong in its message.

Girls Fashion Trends: Alaia Love

Girls Fashion Trends

The Met or possibly Anna Wintour is not giving Azzedine Alaïa any love. Never mind. A mindless memory lane collage here surely makes up for the loss? (Or not...)

Girls Fashion Trends: Black plus Grey - Normaluisa

Black plus Grey - Normaluisa

From the tents in New York to the catwalks of Milan, there is no denying that 80's inspired clothes are here to stay for one more season. While Girl was more than ready for designers to move on from this era, Girls did jot down a few designers who Girls though did not over do it. Italian designer Normaluisa is one such designer. Her A/W 09 collection had more than a few pieces that Girls would wear, nothing over the top, just well tailored looks that translate nicely off the runway.

Girls Fashion Trends: Fashion Dramatics - Qasimi

Fashion Dramatics - Qasimi

Girls dig some of these dresses from Qasimi, what can Girls say Girls have flair for the dramatic & to coin my friend Goldie, the fierce! The splashes of coral amongst all that soft grey is perfect! Check out more of their S/S 09 collection.

Girls Fashion Trends: Revisiting - Jennifer Jarvis

Revisiting - Jennifer Jarvis

Knitwear Designer Jennifer Jarvis has been featured on SheBreathes before & it should be no surprise by now that Girls always revisit designers Girls like! As Girls suspected she continues to create gorgeous knitwear. Not many can skillfully manipulate knitwear into beautiful pleats & wearable art, that causes you blink twice, because it's above & beyond the expectations plus connotations associated with knitwear. To say she is talented is an understatement & I am glad to watch her grow as a designer. I also enjoy reading her blog Knit Kicks, which covers other amazing knitwear designers. So be sure to visit & explore both her worlds.

Girls Fashion Blog: Collection Love - Adriana Degreas

Collection Love - Adriana Degreas

Andriana Degreas' Summer 09 conceptual campaigns, it is turned me into a full-on fanatic! The shapes, colors & materials used are the cherry toppers! I would love to have the first piece; with it is plunging neckline — I am on the hunt for it. Visit & explore more from this collection.

Girls Fashion Trends: Glamour Girl - Ermanno Scervino

Glamour Girl - Ermanno Scervino

Girls did not like everything in Ermanno Scervino's S/S 09 collection, but Girls could not get over the silk chiffon dresses in this collection. I am sure it is the plisse bodice or too much of it. But there is just something about them that I adore. What do you think? Do they tickle your fancy, or is there too much going on?

Girls Fashion Trends: Alexander Wang RTW Summer Fashion Show 2009

Alexander Wang RTW Summer Fashion Show 2009:

As you may all be aware, Fashion Designers are showing right now for fall 2009. For the majority of us, summer can't come quick enough, so girls have picked their favorite outfits from Alexander Wangs RTW Summer collection.

What Girls love about these outfits is how inspirational and adaptable they are for us to interpret and put into our wardrobes! Some pieces you may well have already, such as grey marl (T-shirt or sweatshirt), denim, leather or sheer and they all make great casual, stylish daywear.

Have you been inspired by any particular designers this Summer?
